Cambridgeshire Festival @ Thorney
Unbeaten Shelford Side
Many thanks to the fourteen U8s made the long drive up to Thorney for the Cambridgeshire festival, plus those who came to cheer them on.
We fielded two teams, the Peacocks and the Sharks. Both teams played some excellent rugby in 6 games that filled over 2 hours. I can genuinely say that it was the most entertaining rugby I've seen from our team and was a really enjoyable morning. Defence was organised and intense. But most impressive was the passing, support play and enthusiasm for working as a team. Ben Compton stood out for the Sharks in this regard. Whilst for the Peacocks I really couldn't pick anyone above the others, everyone worked really hard for each other but Connor and Tom were notable try scoring machines.
Looking forward to next Sunday when we host Huntingdon.
