The 1st XV took on Aylesford in their first game of the 2016-2017 London 3 South East league campaign. The 1st XV wanted to send out a message to the rest of the league after their promotion into the league and that they did with a tight 12-10 win over Aylesford who finished 3rd in the league last season.

A fine solo effort from Kieran Hayes in the first half and a snipe from the back of a driving maul by Aaron mills were enough to secure the win from the islanders despite prop Rhys McDermott and Captain Tom Varker being yellow carded in the last 20 minutes.

Discipline will have to improve this week when the 1st XV travel to Thanet in their first away match of the league campaign.

The 2nd XV took on Deal in their last preseason friendly, tries from Ross Brown and Dan Martin Secured the 12 - 10 win. The Development XV look impressive this season with a huge squad who are eager to play. Lets hope their recent form continues when they take on Cliffe in their first game of the Shepard Name Late Red 3 East league campaign.
