Shepshed ended their away Midland Football League canpaign with a 4-1 victory at local rivals Quorn a result which saw Dynamo move back to fourth

Shepshed started the game strongly and despite Michael Reeve and Adam Hohn going close it was Quorn who took the lead on seven minutes. Former Shepshed striker Courtney Meade was left one on left with Louis Guest whose zealous lean into Meade gave the referee no choice but to award a penalty which Meade converted passed Jack Drury.

Shepshed continued to look the stonger side and a constant threat. With Karl Whymarks effort forcing a corner on eight minutes. A minute later Ryan Thacker half cleared Reeves cross.

If Quorn were entitled to a penalty then Shepshed were certanly denied the same on ten minutes as Reeve cut into the box and seemed to be brought down but both the referee and assistant failed to respond.

Sam Moore further pressed Shepshed's domination with his shot deflected wide on fourteen minutes. Three minutes later Langham flicked had his effort over the bar.

Reeve and Whymark on twenty one and twenty five minutes respectively fired wide of Thackers goal.

Quorn responded and Jacob Lever was unlucky exposing the Shepshed defence on twenty six and twenty eight minutes.

Shepshed equalised on thirty three minutes Moore burst through Quorns rearguard to find Reeve to slot into the right hand corner.

Shepshed were in the ascendancy Reeves just wide on thirty five minutes and immediately after Thacker was alert to the advancing Liam Read.

On thirty seven minutes Reads shot was deflected wide and from the resultant corner Guests header went over the bar.

With five minutes remaining in the half Reeves moved the ball to left of the goal and Read neatly put Shepshed into the lead.

Shepshed ended the half as they had started but after a foul on Read, Langhams placed free kick went wide.

Quorn came out looking to level the game early on in the second half and on forty seven minutes Callum Thompsons cross came to no avail across the box. Instantly Alex Roberts provided to Read whose effort went over the bar.

Quorn certainly had their best spell of the game after a long ball from Joe Hopewell, Drury was alert to the advancing Oshungbure.

Hopewell then went close on fifty seven minutes and two minutes later Meades effort flashed across Dynamo's box.

Shepshed began to take control of the game again Thacker advancing out of his area to Read on sixty three minutes.

Dynamo extended the lead on sixty eight minutes. A free kick on the right hand side was partially cleared by Thacker a deft deflection fell to Reeve who slotted passed the unfortunate Jimmy Brooks who was caught wrong footed on the goal line.

Guest could have extended the lead three minutes later but his header wnet wide.

Quorn hadn't given up on the game Oshungbure fired into Drury and with time running out Drury was forced into a double save.

Shepshed concluded the game with what was nearly the final play of the game with Matt Langham slotting home to make it 4-1.

After two defeats a committed performance from Shepshed with three deserved points which took them back to the top four in the Midland Football League.
