On Sunday 20th May the first festival of the season was held at Sherborne Cricket Club. There were 8 teams taking part with around 80 ladies of all ages. The day started with a warm up and was swiftly followed by games on all 4 pitches. The food was served up by some of our senior players who were joined by our family supporters. The day finished with prizes for a member of each team who it was felt had performed above and beyond and there was also a prize per pitch for the magic moment of the day.

There were lots of smiles and everyone is looking forward to the other festivals of the summer. The next festival is being held on Sunday 3rd May at Wimborne Cricket Club, to register to play please go to the Dorset Cricket Board website. You don't have to be an experienced player or be part of a team to come and have a go. Everyone is welcome, so why not give it a go.
