We batted first on a dry but unyielding strip at Combe making our batting all the more impressive. An outstanding performance from Freddie Norridge 52* ret, supported by Jonah Anthony 17* and Ben Gibbons 14*(off 4 balls) saw us to 113 for 3 off 20 overs.

Combe got off to a good start but were chastened by the midway point by an impressive display of pace, swing and spin bowling from Ben Gibbons 0-10, Freddie Norridge 2-22 and Callum Dingle 4-5. Bailey Mitchell polished off the tail with 3-5.

Despite all of this it was a close finish with Combe finally all out for 108.

We had just 8 players (it was 9 but we had a no-show) but Combe sportingly gave us two fielders.

Our small team really pulled together and under the leadership of Callum Dingle, came out on top.
