Our first Friday Youth Night is a week away and we’d love to see you.

All are welcome for a drink and a burger, whether you are registering children for cricket or not. Friday night cricket is for children in school years 2 – 6 (7 – 11-year olds).

We’ll be doing something a little different this year, instead of splitting the girls and boys at year 5 we’re offering either hardball or softball cricket to both. So that’s something to think about before registering. There is a difference in cost - £30 for softball, £50 for hardball, reflecting the cost to the club of providing kit, the nets etc.
Junior membership prices remain the same as in previous years.
You can download a registration form here

And if the weather’s still bad?
We shall be open for registration only, even if we can’t play any cricket. Throughout the season, In the event of bad weather which affects play in any way, we shall post a note to the home page of the club’s website.
Parking
If you can avoid coming by car please do so, as we want to avoid disruption to our neighbours in the village, or car share where possible. We hope to use the Nursery ground as an overflow carpark, but this may not be possible if the outfield remains wet; signs will be out if it is in use.

All Stars begins 11th May at 5pm
5&6-year olds can start cricket by joining All Stars, the ECB programme that began so successfully last year. It’s a wonderful introduction to cricket and sport in general, but above all it’s great fun! And players will receive some brilliant kit from the ECB. You can register here

U13/U15/U17/U19s
Coaching for these older age groups will generally begin wk/c 23rd unless the coach deems otherwise.
This U13s and U15s will train on Wednesday, the U17s and U19 on Thursdays.

Help needed
We had 220 junior members at the club last year which puts a great strain on our team of some 25 coaches and helpers. Apart from Anup Sanklecha, our club professional who will be back at the club for a fifth year, ALL are unpaid volunteers who give up their time for the love of the game and the club. If you can help in any way we’d love to hear from you, we’d be grateful for any assistance you can give, whether coaching, serving hot dogs or just tidying up.
This year, we need help with the U15s on match days, the U10s and girls cricket coaching. You don’t have to have previous experience. If you can join the team, please contact me at the email below.

I look forward to seeing you at the club soon.
