Shire U11's 9-a-side finish runners-up in the BSYL Spring Trophy League

FINAL! - BSYL U11's 9-a-side Spring Trophy

After topping the BSYL Spring Trophy group on goal difference, Shire Colts U11's 9-a-side faced Ashton Boys who they had narrowly lost out to at in the Autumn League final!

The final was held at Gloucester FA HQ Stadium, Oakland Park, Almondsbury.

With only 9 available players on the day, and no substitutes, Shire had to work exceptionally hard, and continued to make the majority of chances against a strong Ashton Boy's team.

The final remained a very close contest with both teams scoring in the second half. Honours were shared at full time with a 1-1 score line so the match was taken to extra time. Shire continued to make chances but after neither team could find the decisive goal the match would finally be decided on penalties.

Shire Colts lost 4-3 on penalties and finish runners up.
