Toolstation NCEL Division One – Grimsby Borough v Shirebrook Town – Tuesday 25th March 2014 – Kick-Off 7.45pm.

Shirebrook Town are back on the road on Tuesday evening looking again for league points when they travel into North East Lincolnshire to take on Grimsby Borough at The Bradley Football Development Centre in Grimsby.

And Shirebrook joint-managers Mark Camm and Danny Bacon will be hoping their side can carry on where they left off after last Saturday’s good 2-0 home win over a dogged Selby Town side at Langwith Road.

But Borough will, of course, have other ideas and, despite losing 4-1 away at Worsbrough Bridge Athletic last Saturday, they will be looking to repeat the kind of form that gave them their 3-0 midweek home win four days before that against Shirebrook’s near-neighbours Teversal.

Grimsby Borough have taken 39 points from the 36 league games they’ve played so far, and they currently occupy sixteenth place in the table, twelve places and 26 points behind fourth-placed Shirebrook from the same number of games.

When the two sides met in the reverse fixture in mid-November last year at Langwith Road, Shirebrook looked to have won it late on with Aaron Moxam’s disputed 89th minute goal – the only goal of the game at that stage. But Borough substitute David Deane salvaged a point for the visitors with an equaliser two minutes into time added on at the end.

Kick-off on Tuesday is at 7.45pm and it’s a journey of about 82 miles (via M1/M18/M180) from Langwith Road, which will take around one hour and thirty minutes to complete by car, depending on the evening traffic. Click the Grimsby Borough link below to obtain directions to the game.
