Shirebrook's last meeting against the Badgers was in the FA Vase (Saturday 6th September 2014), after taking the lead through Jamie York on the 75th minute the badgers quickly equalised on 79 and went on to win the game 3 v 1.

What a great way to bounce back after the disappointment the week before. I felt in both performances that we are beginning to really start to pass the ball a lot better than we have been doing and I think we will cause any team in this league problems. Two early goals settled us after which we took our foot off the gas a little bit but certainly got our act together second half. It was also pleasing to have to have five different goalscorers and the icing on the cake was the clean sheet.

Tonight we welcome Retford Utd who have had a difficult run so far but recorded a 3-1 against us earlier in the season so it would be nice to reverse that tonight. It is also a good opportunity to look at some players who have not really had the game time they would like and we can get a feel of just how strong the squad is. We are also still on the trail for new players and will hopefully have some good news on that front early next week.

We have a good group of players who are really gelling together well and starting to perform as a unit, with a few additions and all your support who knows what we can achieve, COYR
