Saturday 7th March 2015 3:00pm ko Worsborough Bridge Athletic v Shirebrook Town

Shirebrook are on the road again tomorrow this time to face Worsborough Bridge Athletic. The Brook's last meeting with the Briggers was back in October 2014 at the Langwith Road Ground, Shirebrook coming out on top 4-2 being the score line. Goals from Liam Morris (2), Kieron Watson and Jamie York. Julian Lawrence and Joe Jackson getting on the score sheet for the Briggers.

Julian Watts Statement
If playing bad and winning was an art form I think after last weekend we are the masters although at this stage of the season I know everyone at the club will take that along with the 3 points. We didn't look comfortable at all and a hard working Selby side made life very difficult but it was a game that we may not have come through a couple of months ago so once again the character of this group really showed. On the down side injuries to Matt Plant and Leigh Hutchinson were most unwelcome, hopefully Hutch will be back in contention next week but Planty looks like he'll be out for a while longer. On a positive note we welcome Matt Sykes, a player I have had before at Hallam FC who has been in America for 2 years playing and coaching and is looking forward to playing again in the UK, I'm sure he will very quickly become a fans favourite.

A trip up the road to Barnsley and another 3 points is a must. I think part of last weeks struggle stems from the importance of each game, what it means to the club, its supporters and the players, but we have the spirit and the quality to come through. Let's get the right result, see how everyone else has done and where we stand in the shake up. Here's looking forward to another good Saturday, see you up there COYR
