Saturday 3rd October 2015 Grimsby Borough v Shirebrook Town 3:00pm ko

Ginners Statement

Another highly frustrating afternoon last Saturday brought about another draw this time at least we scored a couple of goals but once again we only ended up with just the point against a Hemsworth side that after an indifferent first half came back at us and could quite easily have nicked it at the death.

Certainly after the game it felt like a loss having played so well with Rolo hitting the woodwork in the 12th min and twice taking the lead. Mistakes at both ends are costing us dear but the draw maintained our unbeaten run, now five games and with games coming thick and fast, the chance to pick up points is there for us. Steve wasn't too critical after the game seeing how we are performing far better than our earlier games

Unfortunately our Captain, Ash Rawson picked up an injury that will keep him out of the side for at least a month.

Our squad for tomorrow's game will not be at full strength with injuries and work commitments being the order of the day but once again it gives a chance for other players to stake a claim as is highlighted by players such as Levi who is eager to cement his place in the starting eleven.

Grimsby's form of late has been below par but as is the case with all games you just never know how each game will pan out.
Our latest signing Rob Cam made his debut last Saturday and very nearly opened his goals account in the last minute and as he is in the squad for tomorrow's game he is looking forward to putting some of those chances away which are being created.

Enjoy The Game And Thank You For Your Support.
