Rob Camm Appointed

Shirebrook Town is pleased to announce Rob Camm has been appointed manager of Shirebrook Town FC he will be assisted by Jamie Allen and Gavin Saxby

Rob had the following to say about his appointment

We are proud to be named as the new management team...

Being an ex STFC player I have a real love for the club and what it means to the town. Having managed locally since the age of 22 I have a very good knowledge of local players. I took on my first managerial role with Blidworth MWFC where the club exceeded all expectations! With a young squad we pushed our way up a very tough CM South to finish 7th and put a great run together in the FA Vase knocking out Clipstone on the way who went on to win the NCEL div 1 and get to the final of the NSC in the same year. I am hungry and ambitious to deliver success for my local club.

With me comes Jamie Allan, Jamie was the assistant manager at clipstone when I was a player there and I always felt he had a great knowledge of the game and also the way he worked stood out to me. He has since been involved at Ollerton Helping them to achieve Promotion to the NCEL last season and securing that position this season.

Gavin Saxby will join us in a Player/Coach role. Sax is well known to STFC supporters and has made 98 apps for the club so far! As well as a host of non league clubs at various levels!

The club, Myself, Jamie and Sax all share the same beliefs in what is best for the club going forward.

Going forward as a team we will do everything to build the club on and off the pitch and bring Stability back to STFC.

We hope the Community will get behind what we are looking to achieve and in doing so return STFC to one of the best and most vocally supported team in the area.

We look forward to welcoming new and returning faces as we embark on this new
adventure.

Jaime Allan had the following to say

I see it as an exciting challenge and an opportunity to re-invigorate the club after an inconsistent two years. This club has huge potential and a great fan base and if we can get it right on the pitch we know we will get the support. One thing we can promise is that whatever team we turn out will work hard and have pride in playing for us and the club.

Gavin Saxby had the following to say
I am delighted to be back at the club and really looking forward to the challenge of helping put the foundations in place to help build a club and team that the town will get fully behind, and get us moving in the right direction once again.
