A poor start cost Shirebrook as they crashed of of this seasons FA Cup with a 3-1 defeat away at Oadby Town

Things got off to a very bad start for Shirebrook the game was only 2 minutes old when Mason Brown gave the home side the lead nipping in at the near postafter a cross from the right and things got even worse for Shirebrook in the 9th minute when Oadby doubled the lead Mason Brown grabbing his 2nd of the game and as the half wore on the home side kept putting pressure on Shirebrook and had a number of chances but Shirebrook goalkeeper Levi Owen managed to keep everything out Shirebrook struggled to muster any attempts going forward with there best effort being a Sam Dockwray shot from distance that was well saved by the Oadby keeper.

Shirebrook were much better in the second half with Dockwray, Robinson, Clarke and Berbanks all having chances to pull a goal back for Shirebrook but as Shirebrook were pushing men forward they were leaving gaps at the back and the home side hit the post twice in quick succession but as the game looked to be drawing to a close Shirebrook grabbed a goal back when Oadby failed to deal with Clarke corner Sam Dockwray pocked the ball in but as Shirebrook were throwing everything forward to get back into the game Oadby were awarded a very soft penalty Mason Brown stepped up to complete his hat-trick and seal Shirebrook fate in this season FA Cup.

Shirebrook are back in action on Wednesday night when they visit Winterton Rangers 7:45 ko and they are back at Langwith Road on Saturday AFC Emley are the visitors 3pm ko
