Shirebrook crashed out this season FA Vase at the hands of Blidworth Welfare

Shirebrook were on the back foot from the get go as Blidworth took the lead in the 4th minute after a defensive error led to Gareth Curtis putting the ball in the net Shirebrook pushed forward with Greenfield going closest to pulling a goal back however Shirebrook attempts to get back in the game kept getting halted by injuries as first Lou Jackson went off with a hamstring injury and then Alex Nightingale had to be carried off with a bad injury to his ankle.

Shirebrook stated the second half strong but couldn't find a way to pull the goal back and the game was all but over in the 73rd minute when Keenan Leeds doubled the home side advantage capitalizing on more defensive errors from Shirebrook as the game drew to a close Shirebrook went close to pulling a goal back but couldn't force the ball into the net and in the final few minutes it was the home side who went close to adding a 3rd goal but couldnt find a way to get the ball in the net.

Shirebrook are back in action Tuesday night as New Mills visit Langwith road in the Derbyshire cup (7:45 ko) and they return to league action next Saturday when Hallam FC visit Langwith road (3pm ko)
