Shirebrook were taken to a replay by Loughborough University in there FA Cup extra preliminary round tie after a roller coaster of a game finished 4-4

The first action of the half came just 2 minutes in when Loughborough were awarded a penalty however Trotman must have thought he was on the rugby pitch and sent the penalty well over the bar and it didnt take long for Shirebrook to make them pay as Mullins was sent through 1 on 1 with the keeper and put Shirebrook 1 goal to the good and things got even better for the visiting side in the 12th minute when Osborne cross from the left looped over the keeper to put Shirebrook in a strong position the home side have a number of chances as the half came to a close but couldn't find a way past Spink in the Shirebrook goal.

The home side again looked strong at the start of the second half creating chance after chance but Shirebrook kept them out and it looked like Shirebrook had booked there place in the next round mid way through the half when Osborne got his 2nd of the game from the penalty spot then a crazy final 20 minutes came with Loughborough pulling a goal back with 15 minutes to go through Josh Hill Loughborough then pulled another goal back through Andrew Bridge and the comeback was completed in the 89th minute when the ref decided to give his 3rd penalty of the game to allow Bridge to make it 3-3 however as Shirebrook flooded forward to try and find a winner the 4th penalty of the game was awarded this time in Shirebrook favor and Kyle Lilley made no mistake from 12 yards to put Shirebrook back in front 6 minutes into time added on but there was still time for Loughborough to get there 4th goal of the game in the 9th minute of added time through Jerimiah Dasalou to send the game to a replay.

The replay of the game will be played Tuesday night (9/8/16) at Langwith road 7:45ko before our first league game next Saturday at home to Yorkshire Amateur 3pm ko
