The Musselmen strengthen their infrastructure

The club is very excited and pleased to annouce

Appointments for 1st Team and U18s

John Sharman = Assistant 1st Team Manager- Luis Freitas = 1st Team Coach

John Sharman joins the Musselmen from his recent role as assistant manager for the Sussex County Senior Side. Johns wealth of experience will make sure that Shoreham Football Club will have one of the strongest managerial team thats been missing for a very long time. This partnership with Matt, John and Luis will definitely show the rest of the league that the Musselmen are very serious this season and are looking for huge improvements to last season.

Luis comes with a great CV of coaching. Luis is currently at the Arsenal Development Centre in Kent as a coach. With previously coaching at Southend FC before that he was a professional footballer with Southend United Football Club. With Luis’s coaching experience the club will have the building blocks needed to succeed in this league.

Alex Walsh = U18s Manager and Sam Davis = Assistant Manager

Alex Walsh and Sam Davis join the Musselmens management team for the U18s. Alex, previous player for Shoreham FC reserves and an experience UEFA B qualified coach with seven years experience working with Championship football clubs including Brighton and Hove Albion and Sheffield United. With experience that also extends to scouting young players from all over the South East of England on behalf of Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club. Teaming up with him is Sam who has experience with Sussex county - East Preston youth/ reserves and first team appearances along with at all levels of youth coaching/management. This duo will definitely improve things on and off the field. The expectation of this new management team is pretty high with the club looking for top 3 finish.

The club is now looking to ensure that the link between U18s, reserves and 1st team is just like one big team. This means building a strong U18s and reserves team so that progression from the U18s to reserves football and even 1st team football will be easy for any player.

The club wish all four success in their first season with the Musselmen.
