fun in the sun...

Told you!

As soon as the footie starts the sun would come out and it was still 25C when I got back in my car last night after the game...

Everyone was disappointed when BMF pulled out of the friendly but in the end it may have been a blessing in disguise as what transpired last night was excellent!

Evo picked two evenly matched sides and both sides were 'properly' managed with Evo, Sumps and Jody in one camp (The blues) and Des, Ackers and Hosky in the other..

Properly reffed the game was very entertaining, even and committed - with pride at stake. The best thing was that instead of 15 or so lads getting part of a game the whole squad got a thorough work out and judging by the knackeredness (not a real word - ed!) at the end and the comments made all agreed it was ' a good night'. Both sides played the ball on the floor as much as possible with short slick passing.

For the record Joey gave the blues the lead with a deflected shot and Singher made it 2-0 to the blues with the proverbial emphatic finish after a peach of a through ball from Jamie Martin.

Kassim Suleman pulled one back for the reds before the break and they had a chance to level from the spot aver the award of a stonewaller!
Up stepped Alton and with the keeper going down early chipped him only to see the ball come back straight to him off the bar. Our hero smacked the ball home before realising his mistake as no one else had touvhed it! Doh!!

Still Kassim leveleed it up with a smart finish and despite chances for both sides the game finished even steven..

And so gentle readers it is off to Brimscome on Friday (7.30) before Dessies Ressies make their debut on saturday - home to Tavs at 2.00!!

Bye for now...
