The time has come now ,for all the players out there ,that keep saying that they will come and play for this wonderful club that is Shortwood .With great facilities, fantastic pitch surface, southern and Hellenic league football on offer for 1st and 2nd teams respectively, there really is no better place to play football !!
With both teams in a rebuild season after the 1st and 2nd team losing 12 players between them ,10 to higher level clubs and 2 moving away , the 2nd team are in real need of those players who either have left and trying at other clubs or are still thinking maybe this year or next to make the move ,to do so NOW !!! Because if we don't make the start of the season this year ( Aug 9th ) , the 2nd team will cease to exist !!! which in turn takes away yours and future players a really good opportunity to play at a good competitive level and the opportunity to progress to a 1st team when ready ,with good facilities thrown in , all this is FREE as players do not pay to play at this truly great club , just literally bring your boots!!!!
