A very disappointing loss away at Bloxwich grounded Shrewsbury after their previous weeks victory.
Bloxwich stuck to their game plan throughout and Shrewsbury did not play theirs which was the down fall for the side.
Shrewsbury went into the break 10-5 down after two tries from the Bloxwich pack and a try from the debutant Guy Goddard out on the wing. Shrewsbury started the second half with a try from Tom Dickson which was converted by Harvey Mason.
10-12 to Shrewsbury with plenty of time to play but things didn’t go to plan and Bloxwich managed to get another try and a late penalty to seal Shrewsbury fate.
The only consolation for Shrewsbury was that they took a losing bonus point.
