The emotions in the home changing room at the end of this game just go to show how high the expectations have become over the past few months. There were no smiles, no back slapping, no celebrations, only open and honest discussions about our performance.
There was a real air of frustration in the way we executed our game plan. The accuracy and intensity of our performance was too hit and miss. On occasions we played some great rugby, more than not resulting in one of the seven tries, but it was just to inconsistent and happened all to infrequently for our liking.
There is lots of hard work to be done over the next few weeks in the run in to the end of the season. If the squad are to reach their full potential this season, we all recognise we simply can't afford another performance like this one.
All credit to the opposition, they played to their strengths very effectively, scoring three tries in the process. The most that any away team has scored at Sundorne this season.
Next week the squad travel to Burntwood, in the first of four successive away games. No doubt this will be the most challenging four weeks of our season.
Can we also thank the home supporters who turned out in force once again. I know that the squad thoroughly appreciate their presence on the side line, and the vocal support they give us.
