It's not been the happiest of hunting grounds over the years, but skipper Rob Foster insists Birmingham Cricket League leaders Shrewsbury will go into Saturday's clash at Kenilworth Wardens brimming with confidence.

Shrewsbury surged 17 points clear of Berkswell at the top of the table with a stunning nine-wicket demolition of Dorridge last weekend, the contest all over by 2.50pm.

It was the latest classy display from the London Roaders who also lifted silverware last Friday night, beating Oswestry in a last-ball thriller in an exciting Salop Leisure KO final.

Now Foster wants his team to continue to impress at eighth-placed Kenilworth.

"It's somewhere we haven't done too well down the years," he said. "I can only remember us winning there once, but we're playing some good cricket at the moment, so we'll go there full of confidence."

Foster was delighted by the contribution of England under-17 bowler George Panayi against Dorridge, his seven-over burst of 4-21 helping dismiss the visitors for just 82.

But the Shrewsbury School student's availability for this weekend is in doubt owing to his commitments with Warwickshire where he is a highly regarded member of the Edgbaston Academy.

Meanwhile, Shrewsbury allrounder Joe Leach, unavailable to play for the London Roaders since the early weeks of the campaign owing to his excellent form for Worcestershire, completed 50 wickets in the first division of the County Championship for the season in this week's game against Nottinghamshire.

It's the first time Leach has achieved the notable milestone - completed in 10 games after not figuring in the opening two matches of the season.

Leach became the fourth player in Division One to reach 50 wickets this season after Durham's Chris Rushworth (71 in 12), Sussex's Steve Magoffin (56 in 12) and Middlesex's James Harris (54 in 12).
