Players Rules

Fines exist for two reasons:
  1. To reinforce the attitudes and commitments of those involved in the 1st XV squad
  2. To provide some cash to contribute toward the social running of the squad
The rules apply to ALL members of the 1st XV squad including players, coaches, physios & management.
The rules are listed below. Fines are at the discretion of the Fine Master of the Day.

1. Saturday Meet
You will be on time for the meet on Saturday mornings. Failure to do so by 1 second, 1 minute or 1 hour will result in a fine.
Note - the Team Manager’s time keeping is final.

2. Pre-match & Warm Up
During this period you will wear your 2011/12 season warm up t-shirt as issued before the first league game.

Throwing water bottles will be fined. Throwing 'Aline hygienie' water bottles will be fined double.

3. After Games
You will wear No.1s after games. No.1s are outlined as follows:
  • Home Games – Smart shoes, socks, trousers (suit or chinos) NO JEANS or CORDS, club shirt, club tie/cravat; Club blazers or club lamb’s wool jumpers are optional. Club shirts are compulsory – you have 1 month’s grace in which to buy one after which time you will be fined £18 payable to the club shop in exchange for a shirt. The month starts from your first league game.
  • Away Games - 2011/12 season club polo, appropriate bottoms and footwear.
Note - Blatant disregard of No1s will result in an additional fine

As the team respects the club after the game by wearing No.1s, the team will also be respectful of the club during the game. Therefore anyone (on the touchline) wearing kit that displays a logo of any club/team other than Sidcup will receive a fine.

4. Injured Players
All injured players are expected to turn up to home games in support of the team.

5. President’s Privilege
The Club President will have the discretionary power to fine any player for any actions on the pitch which he feels are not befitting a Sidcup player. The President will decide the fine, monetary or otherwise.

6. Travel
You will travel on the team coach where appropriate. Failure to do so will result in a fine each way.

7. Social Etiquette
On match days you will be sociable and remain at the clubhouse at least until the opposition have left.

8. Unavailability
You will not pull yourself out of a game after Wednesday for any reason other than injury or illness.

9. Captain’s Call
On occasion there will be a Captain’s call. This is a social call and will be nominated by that week’s Fine Master. Failure to do what is asked will result in an appropriate fine, depending on that week’s call/task.

10. Fine Master’s Privilege
The Fine Master is at liberty to nominate any additional fines as they see fit.

Note – Everyone will take turns at being the Fine Master. As such there will be an opportunity for revenge if you feel you have been unfairly fined.

ALL FINES ARE TO BE TAKEN IN GOOD GRACE OR THE FINE WILL BE INCREASED
