Well done to all 3 of our junior teams who progressed to the next round of the National Cup after they all won today.
After last week's disappointment, the Under 14s bounced back to beat a useful Blackbrook team from St Helens in a 24-0 win on the main pitch at CWC Park. The prolific Harvey Oldroyd scored a hat-trick of tries, with Josh Brown and Morgan Gannon also touching down. Archie Patefield was named man of the match.
Another clean sheet was earned on the top pitch at CWC Park by our Under 16's as they beat Doncaster Toll Bar 44-0. The try scorers were Kian Cox (2), Reece Barraclough (2), Josh Milnes, Ewan Lewis and Matty Booth (2). The kicking duties were shared between 3 players who all managed to land conversions, with Jacob Gannon (2), Ben Littlewood (3) and Josh Main (1) all adding extras.
Although we don't compete in a league at Under 18 level, we have put together a squad to play in cup competitions, coached by Scrimmy. The lads had a tricky tie, away to Wigan St Judes, but managed to secure a place in the next round with a 19-15 win. Tries were scored by Aaron Metcalfe (2), Adam Mohammed and Luka Orlic. Rourke Woolley added a conversion and Jake Turner landed a drop goal.
Well done to all of the players involved and of course to our loyal coaching staff and best of luck from everyone at the club in the next round.
