Sileby Vikings are aiming to build on the success of last season in 2011/12, starting with two friendlies.
On Saturday 3rd September, Sileby have been invited to play Stoneygate RFC at their ground, as part of there family open day. There are promises of free/cheap beer and food after the game, with a bbq and music, which we can enjoy whilst watching other games scheduled for that day.
The following week, Saturday 10th September, we will be playing Aylestonians at Fortress Platts Lane. Kickoff is at 3pm. The idea is for a few drinks at the ground after the game, and possibly some sandwiches, as we need to beef up our forwards....
Of course, supporters are always welcome!!!
Both games will cater for New players, old players, people who haven't played for years etc, so Sileby would like everyone to turn up, no matter how long it has been.
These two friendlies will then lead us nicely into our first competitive league game of the 2011/12 season, against Vipers away, so can as many people as possible turn up, to make the coming season the most successful one yet!
Training, is still on Wednesday nights at the ground, 7pm start, until further notice (the end of the Cricket Season), at which point it will move to a Thursday again. Captain Wak/the website will inform us all when the change happens.
Look forward to seeing as many people as possible in the coming weeks!
