Solihull Barbarian Colts win against Shrewsbury.

The combined Bees/Sils Colts – the Solihull Barbarians - secured an impressive win against Shrewsbury 31-8 in the quarter finals of the North Midlands Colts cup at Portway last Sunday.

It was a good all-round performance, especially from the backs most of whom were playing out of position, complemented by a dominant back row led by Cameron Watson. They say there is no substitute for pace and this proved true with Ant Touhey scorching over for a hat trick of tries and slotting two conversions. Malachi Jones and James Arney scored a try each, and Jamie Roskell sneaked over a conversion with a little help from the cross bar.

This was Kinsey Stoddard’s last game for us as he heads off to New Zealand next weekend and we wish him well with his rugby development down under.

We're not sure who we will face in the Semi Finals - Moseley and Worcester are through but we don't know the result of the DKW v Bromsgrove game yet.
