Junior Presentation Afternoon

Skegness Rugby Club recently had their junior presentations when all the players and coaches and organisers are congratulated on their endeavours for the season. Junior president Eamon Reavy has given tremendous commitment throughout the year as he used to do as a rugby player for Skegness. He brought together the talents of junior committee organisers of Jane Sheldon, Helen Wilkinson, Heather Jackson, Sue Rowsan and Jane Farnsworth to organise an enjoyable afternoon in celebration of the clubs endeavours.

The coaching members of Jason Atkin, Simon Stevenson, Richard Wattam, John Harris, Eamon Reavy, Ben Farnsworth and Jason Divilly all presented their awards to their respective players. The referees of Ned Kelly, Ben Farnsworth and Jason Divilly were given awards for their season’s efforts.

Special thanks to club captain Dan Halliday and Club President Peter Kent for presenting some of the awards during the ceremony. More thanks should also be given to those senior club members who served behind the bar and helped with catering for the event. The main awards were as follows:

Under 11’s Players Player Jake Wattam, Coaches Player Bailey Duckham, Most Improved Luca Eastwood

Under 14’s Players Player Luke Timms, Kicking Champion Noah Best, Coaches Player Quetzal Nava – Fisher, Most Improved Jack Whittam

New players of all ages are always welcome and currant players will be contacted when the new season begins. New coaches will also be welcomed to volunteer to help out on training and match days. More thanks to Eamon Reavy for his tireless efforts.
