SUJFC Coaches at Huddersfield Town Academy
HTFC Academy Coaches Masterclass
On wednesday evening Macca, SUJFC and P/T Huddersfield Town Academy scout arranged for the club to visit Academy and watch a session with the U12 Huddersfield Town Academy elite.
Eccy, Sam and Graham went along on behalf of the club and met the new Academy boss and ex Town player Mark Lillis..ask your dads kids!
The lads attended a briefing on the Academy which included what they look for in a player. This was followed by demonstrations and tips on warm ups and various ball drills. The U12s finished with a game of 9 a side and the Academy coaches gave advice on formations and training techniques.
Sam commented ''The first thing that you notice with the Academy lads is how good the first touch is. Most of the lads are mostly two footed so this is something we need to get across to our lads for them to develop and progress. The willing to listen and learn was also evident. Hopefully we can pass on this good advice to our boys''
Mark Lillis thanked everyone for coming and hoped we had enjoyed the night. We look forward to attending a further session later in the season
