Skelmersdale United are scheduled to travel to West Yorkshire on Saturday, where they are fixtured to face Ossett Town at the Ingfield ground.

Due to the predicted weather conditions there has to be a great deal of doubt about the game. The official line is that the game cannot be officially postponed until Saturday morning because of NPL regulations.But we should know by about 10am.

Skelmersdale United will keep this site and the forum, up to date with information on the possible postponement or playing of the game, as soon as is possible.

LATEST NEWS 16.45pm Friday. There is a pitch inspction arrangd for 10am.We are informed that we will know about the game by around 10.15am.WATCH THIS SITE FOR MORE NEWS.

If the game is on, the following travel instructions apply:

Ossett Town Away Saturday 4th February.

Ossett Town share their ground with Wakefield, so you will have been here before.

Take M60/M62 to Junction 25 signposted A644.

At Roundabout 3rd exit onto A644/Wakefield signs Huddersfield/A62/Dewsbury/Mirfield.

Keep right at the fork.

At roundabout continue on A644

Continue onto A638/Webster Hill

After 0.5 miles Right onto Wakefield Road/A638

After 1.5 miles Roundabout 3rd Exit B6128/Leeds Road

Carry on B6128 for 1.5 miles, through 1 roundabout.

When you approach Ossett follow signs for Town Centre.

The ground is very easy to find, it is only about 100 yards from the Church with the huge spire (you can see it for miles) and opposite the Bus Station.

Parking is less easy, you can use the shopping precinct over the road, or side roads, both can involves a little bit of a walk.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE
M62 onto M1 South to JUNC 40

Signs for Wakefield, then right at 2nd set of lights in Queens Drive.

At top turn right towards Town Centre

It is the opposite side of town from Albion’s ground, on an inner ring road (not called that)
