Between 3-4am GMT, the club's official Twitter account @skemutdofficial, was hacked and disabled and with just myself in regular charge of the account, I was only aware of the overnight goings on after waking to several emails at 8am stating the password/email address registered on the account had been changed with the server location coming from the Netherlands.

Frantic work began to try and ascertain how the account had been accessed and how to restore it, after the final post on the account said '1882-2018', I created a new account to try and allay fears that the club no longer existed. Also, to try and rebuild our online following which with the help of many people since Sept 2014 had reached 300 followers earlier this week.

Huge thanks go to Twitter Support for helping me regain control of the account and to those who followed the new account and offered words of support to myself.

People may come and go over time but SUFC WILL NOT DIE!
