After last nights Supporters meeting, the figure for financial survival for this season has been revised. This is due to a lack of sponsorship commitment and funds which were due to come in from backers not arriving due to their worries on the club's future.

The total needed to survive is £12,000 with the possibility of some of it being found from other sources. The fund raised so far has allowed the club to pay for renting Prescot Cables with the last £500 available deposited for use in the next home game. Funds already raised are included in the new total of £15000 as follows...

£3781 - Already raised and used to cover costs of renting Prescot Cables since November and coach trips to away games at Ossett Town, South Shields and Scarborough Athletic.

£11,219- Current shortfall of the original £10000 of £6219 and the additional £5000 needed to ensure the club can complete the season on a competitive basis. (This may be found from other sources which is being negotiated.

As mentioned in the Supporters meeting post, the club has committed backers for next season but the issue currently is that those funds are not available until the club can officially announce its return to the town. A case of a catch-22, the club has the future sorted but unless something is done in the next two months, there will be no club to have a future.
