Match Preview by Andrew Snaith
Town are back at the Turnbull Ground on Saturday when Skelmersdale United are the visitors.
Skem have started the new season solidly with only a 90th minute leveller from newcomers Halesowen denying them a 100% record. The Lancastrians drew 1-1 with the Division One South play-off winners on Saturday before seeing off Nantwich Town 1-0 with an Aidan Kirkbride goal on Tuesday night.
The two games between the teams last season yielded ten goals. Whitby led twice away from home before going down 4-2 after conceding three goals in the final minutes and were held 2-2 at the Turnbull when Steven Snaith and Graeme Armstrong notched, only for the visitors to rescue a point with two spectacular second half efforts.
Snaith and midfield general Dave McTiernan will both return from suspension, while Ged Dalton is still a week away from returning from his knee injury and Zak Boagey remains laid up. Lee Bullock suffered a pulled calf in midweek and is likely to miss out.
Kick off is the usual 3pm, with admission still just £9 for Adults, £5 Concessions, £2 Under 18s and Under 16s get in free with a paying adult.
If you can't make it to the Turnbull, tune into Whitby Town Radio from 2.30pm for an in-depth preview followed by full match commentary.
