Mwiya joined the club on work experience from League One side Wigan Athletic in February.He became the third player to do so this season after Anthony Plant and Joe Downey. He has starred for the Latics U18s with four goals in 2018 alone. The Zambian born forward signed for Wigan from Oldham Athletic in 2016.
