| ORMSKIRK WEST END | 0 | vs | 0 | SKELMERSDALE UNITED |
Another win for Under 8`s
Skem U8`s won a hard fought victory against a competitve & well organised Omskirk West End side.
Leading goal scorer & well deserved MOM Jack Woods opened the scoring for Skem with another fine finish from a corner. Skem then had to defend tightly as Ormskirk pushed forward and Dylan Dixon, DANIEL ELLISON & keeper Liam Foster did this superbly to keep Ormskirk out.
Midfielders Cobie Mannion, Callum Foster and James Higham all worked their socks off to keep Ormskirk in their own half & Skem went into half time 1 - 0 up.
Subs Ben Albrecht, BEN ROBINSON, Ethan Palmer, Jamie Nicholson & Jack Blakey came on in the second half and helped push Ormskirk back into their own half and then hard working midfield dynamo Ben Albrecht, scored an important second goal to ease the pressure for Skem.
Ormskirk then started to push forward again and half way into the second half scored a great long range goal, which gave Skem keeper Liam no chance.
Skilfull Jamie Nicholson started to cause all sorts of problems for Ormskirk as he teased them with his full range of tricks and with a minute to go, after beating Ormskirk player after palyer he scored a fantastic individual goal, slotting from the tightest of angles & sealing victory for Skem.
This wasnt the prettiest of games but both sides deserve great credit for battling it out from start to finish.
Well done boys!
