Brad Hicks stole the show with a hat trick and the Man of the Match award as Skirlaugh Bulls maintained their unbeaten league record in a 60 - 4 romp against Holderness Vikings.
With the wind behind them Vikings gained the advantage immediately from the kick off with the ball bouncing out of play forcing Skirlaugh to drop out from under the posts. However the Vikings could not capitalise dropping the ball from the drop out. Skirlaugh regained ball possession and moving downfield Oliver Shipley
gathered a crossfield kick and scored to put Skirlaugh ahead with their first attack. Oliver Shipley
scored his second quickly after and then Joe Sherwood raced 60 yards to score under the sticks. Harrison Chapman-Dusher then extended Skirlaugh`s lead with a charge to the line.
With the Vikings winger intercepting a promising Skirlaugh attack, this gave the away team good field position and they eventually breached the Skirlaugh defence to touch down. However, it was Skirlaugh who scored the final points of the first half with Brad Hicks getting his first to give Skirlaugh a half time lead of 26-4.
With the wind now behind them Skirlaugh kicked off and gained possession with the ball deep in Vikings` territory and it was Oliver Shipley
who touched down for his hat-trick - under the posts. Brad Hicks then darted over for his second. Luke Marsters then broke free and was held up just short but Bob Downs
was on hand to get his first before Brad Hicks scored his third.
then got his second try outpacing the Vikings` defence and Skirlaugh`s last tries were scored by Jordan Stratton on a 50 yard run to touchdown and Harrison Chapman-Dusher touching down under the posts to give Skirlaugh victory by 60-4.
