On a wet Sunday the U14's went of to Market Deeping for the latest round of the Lincs Mini League.

Starting the day with just the 7 team members (no. 8 was due to join halfway through the day) the team talk went along the lines that we must do better than last time by at least putting some effort into it.
First up was Boston and the game went from end to end but no one scored and Sleaford got their first point. This was followed by two 0:1 defeats to Spalding & Louth. However the performances were mutch better and everyone was getting stuck in. We finally scored in the next game which ended 2:2 against Long Sutton "A". A win followed, 2:1 against Bourne Deeping and flowing hockey was played in those two games which resulted in some very fine team goals. The final game was against Alford and with the score 0:1 Sleaford suffered an injury when one of the team was hit with a stick just under the eye. They went off to receive treatment and this seemed to effect the team as Alford scored 2 more goals in quick time.

All in all this was a much better all round performance by the team and they can be pleased by their efforts.
