Slough settle for a draw against a strong Reading XI after twice being in the lead

Match Report:

Slough were in a buoyant mood and were looking forward to entertaining Reading at home after their convincing win against Maidenhead win and having already beaten Reading in a Pre-Season warm up game.

Unfortunately for Slough, Reading turned up with a very strong Squad and it was to be a mouth watering game.

Slough were soon put to ease when Jaimal put a super through ball to Zoravar Thind who put Slough 1-0 up with a deft reverse strike. This only put Slough in a relaxed mood but they were soon to punished when Reading's Nahal Singh was left unmarked and scored past Rohan Daggar with a super strike.

This was a recipe for a good match and both side contested for the Lead.

The 2nd half again saw Slough take the lead, going 2-1 up through the goal machine Zoravar Thind - a constant thorn in the Reading defence. Slough with intricate play should have further scored through Harmeet Soor and Jaysu but were denied by the Reading Goalkeeper.

Having not capitalized on their pressure, allowed Reading to score a breakaway goal.

The later part of the 2nd half, was very exciting for the supporters and team management. Congratulations to both teams for turning in such a good performance.

Slough's next League game sees them travelling away to take on Gerrard’s Cross.
