A 2-1 win against Sutton Coldfield followed by a Bowden Hightown win against Wakefield guaranteed promotion on Saturday even before Slough faced Wakefield on Sunday. Slough finished with a draw in the final game but the big prize had been secured in great style after two years as champions of the conference west and east respectively.

A special mention to Mel Ball who, having broken her jaw in two places in a warm up game the previous Sunday, was determined to play and took to the field wearing a protective mask but her determination paid off as she scored the second goal on Saturday, a goal that proved crucial in the final analysis.
