Over the upcoming Summer holidays, the children should all keep up with practicing their hockey skills. There are loads of great videos on YouTube to help reinforce core skills. As example I have used the following:

Hitting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVPznjLjQWA : Key points are hands together grip, shoulders in line with direction of ball

Slap: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1APNbPqz9L4 : Key points are hands together grip, body low with back knee almost on ground, stick 'sweeps' along ground

Jab tackle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5aSG8IvcX4 : Key points are one hand grip (left hand), match opponents speed and return to normal position quickly

Block tackle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCiQ_q-UQqA : Strong grip, get body low and stick almost flat on ground
