The FA decided last week to reject AFC's request to leave the Southern League, after an enforced season, much to the club's disappointment. Sudbury's chairman Keith Morris has confirmed that the club will be appealing the decision and their directors will meet tomorrow to discuss the manner in which they will put it forward. Last season the club had to spend an extra 7000 in travelling expenses alone, compared to the season before in the Ryman League, and the longer distances in the Southern League have also been an obstacle for manager Nicky Smith in recruiting players.
