Steve Fallon is excited by what he feels David Theobald can bring to Soham after agreeing a deal with the defender.

The 36-year-old switches to the Ryman League, North Division side from Royston and brings with him experience of higher-level football.
Greens boss Fallon feels that and his leadership qualities are just what Soham need, and is delighted to have Theobald on board.

"David is a great signing for us," said Fallon. "We lacked some leaders on the pitch at times last year and he's got a lot of experience at a higher level, which will all help bring our younger players along. On top of all of that, he's a good player at the level above so he'll be an exceptional player at our level."

Soham have been further boosted with the news Ben Sawyer is rejoining them after a season with Barton Rovers.

"He did well for Barton and there were a lot of clubs interested in him," said Fallon. "But we've managed to get him on a reasonable deal because he wanted to come back and give it a go."
