Soham suffered their biggest defeat of their pre-season campaign, losing 6-1 away to AFC Stamford, a side just relegated from the Unibond Premier Division.

After a fairly even goalless first half, the hosts scored twice in the opening five minutes of the second half goals before Charles Libam reduced the lead in the 53rd minute, when he took Jones ball past the keeper to knock it into an empty net. Stamford then went on to score another four goals, including two in the final minutes to secure a large victory. Things got no better for the Greens with Callum Kearns being taken off before the end, having badly turned his ankle whilst challenging for the ball. L. Jordan (S. Greygoose 79), S. Flanz, M.
