Soham’s 1st Team and Reserves have this week signed new goalkeepers ahead of this weekend’s games.

With regular keepers Dan Bircham and Leigh Follen expected to miss the rest of the season through injury, and Biggleswade Town’s Alex Taylor, who signed on dual registration last week, required for the Waders’ FA Cup first round tie at Stourbridge this weekend, the Greens have brought in Cambridge City’s Enol Ordonez, also on dual registration, with the Spanish keeper expected to make his debut in Saturday’s trip to Maldon and Tiptree.
The 26 year old arrived in England at the beginning of last season where he signed for the Lilleywhites, having previously played for Oviedo ACF and Navarro in the Spanish Third Division.
Enol has made a number of appearances for City in the Southern Premier Division, as well as having loan spells with Huntingdon Town, St Ives Town and Godmachester Rovers.

Under 18’s stopper Callum McDermott has also signed 1st Team and Reserves forms with the club this week.
Despite playing for the Green’s Youth team, the 17 year old has been playing men’s football for Cambridge University Press prior to his move to the Lane.
