Milton v Soham Res

This despite taking the lead when evergren Tom Crawford converted with a sound volley from a Will Seymore corner, after four minutes. From then on Milton played to their strengths and out fought, muscled and thought the young lads of Soham. 3-1 at half time and Ryan Overton having made a few other strong saves as well. Missing Declan Bellchamber, who was called up to 1st team, and Mark Allen through injury, the side saw Lightfoot and Davis starting. This should not have meant such a poor performance. The Greens didn't seem up for the fight. Jake Fuller was withdrawn at halftime, due to a groin injury, and three minutes into the second half Tom Christie was also withdrawn having struggled with an injured back. Two goals in the second half, one a penalty, rounded off a strong performance for the home team leaving the Reserves very down and soundly beat. They will have to bounce back quickly with Chatteris, current league leaders, at home on Wednesday night. It is hoped that injuries and availability issues will not figure in selection and that a decent crowd witnesses the real Reserves of the last few weeks. Overton, Fitchett, Lines, Lightfoot, Brasher, Seymore, Crawford, Fuller (Sterna), Davis (Amery), Clements, Christie (Alexander)
