The Ryman League’s clubs will mark the anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster in April by kicking off seven minutes late at 3.07pm.

As a mark of respect for the 96 Liverpool fans who lost their lives 25 years ago during the FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest, the Ryman League announced on Tuesday that all 72 clubs are expected to take part in the act of remembrance during the full league programme scheduled to be played on Saturday April 12, including Soham's home game with Thurrock.

The match at Hillsborough ended six minutes after kick off on 15 April 1989 and as well as Ryman fixtures, all Premier League, Football League, Football Conference and FA Cup matches will kick off at 3.07pm with a minute’s silence observed at grounds across the country from 3.06pm to 3.07pm.

Worthing, who host Guernsey in a 12.45pm lunchtime kick off, will now kick off at 12.52pm at Woodside Road with the Ryman South clubs the first to mark the tragedy.

The commemoration across the country is being organised and led by the Football Association.
