Dubi Ogbonna played for Southend United in a youth tournament at the weekend in a bid to earn a move to the npower League Two side.
The Soham striker, who was linked with moves to Celtic and Aberdeen earlier in the summer, came off the bench against West Ham and FC Twente at Roots Hall. And the forward, who netted 20 goals last season for Soham in the Zamaretto League, Division One Midlands, converted a penalty in Southend's 4-3 shootout defeat to the young Hammers.
