After just under three seasons at Soham, Aaron Turner has decided to leave the club and join Ridgeons League neighbours Mildenhall Town.

Aaron joined the Greens from Bury Town in November 2006, from where he had progressed through their youth academy. During his time at the Lane, Aaron played 114 games, scoring 15 goals, and was a member of the side that won the Ridgeons League title in 2007/08. Aarons goodbye letter to the club: To Ian Benjamin, the players and most of all the fans. I would like to thank all of you, for nearly three years of successful first team football that I have had. From winning the Ridgeons League last year, to competing in competitions such as the FA Cup, the FA Vase and now the FA Trophy, I will always hold Soham Town Rangers as a club in very high regard. I leave the club on good terms and wish the club and players all the future success. I am leaving the club as I believe Mildenhall are a team with a fantastic future involving a new stadium and top class training facilities, as well as a well known manager. I believe this club can become as successful as Soham were last year in the Ridgeons league when we won it. I would like to thank Ian Benjamin for giving me a chance as a 17 year old lad to play in a high quality Ridgeons league division. Im sure that without the chance he gave me I wouldnt be the player I am now or the person I am as well. I would also like to thank the lads I have been playing with for nearly three years, from day one I was made welcome at the club and quickly became involved with the lads and made friends I will always keep in contact with. Lastly but no means least, I would like to thank the fans, home and away we can always hear you, last year with the travelling you made no end of long trips to the midlands and for that we are grateful. On a personal note, it took me a few months to convince you of my talents but I am grateful for the support I received. Also just a quick thank you to my sponsors last year, I appreciate the 50 spent to buy us the training kit and tracksuits. Please do keep cheering on the lads as it really does help more than people realise. Aaron Turner
