U18s Injury Updates

5 years ago By STRFC

Injury news from the U18 side, sees another loss of a goalkeeper.

Declan Turner, last years Elite number one has been challenging for a place in this years squad, only to now see his hopes dashed after an injury for his college side, which could rule him out for the season. Declan dislocated his knee and has ruptured some ligaments around his knee whilst playing for his college side. Its a terrible loss, as Dec was really pushing. He would be undoubtedly be next years number one for us, but I was looking to give him some deserved game time this season, said Greens manager Chris Gibson. He has a great attitude and has been here supporting us and training each week. First Jamie Clark and now Dec, its unfortunate. But I know he will bounce back. On Clarks injury, Jamie has now had cast and rods removed and receiving physio upon his broken leg. He has been seen up the ground working with crutch assistance, but freely in his movement. The Greens will look to see Jamie back sometime in the New Year where hopefully he can feature before his U18 career exceeds.
