Ramblers suffer another bad defeat

You would think conceding six goals in the first half put paid to this being a competitive match however after a couple of changes after half time the Ramblers looked a far better and well organised team.

Stuart Judd, Lee Scott and Bradley Walsh were all second half replacements and the Ramblers could have easily scored six themselves in the second half.
Lee Pleasance covered every blade of grass through the ninety minutes and was rightly named mane of the match.

The Ramblers started very brightly but as in so many other games this season the first goal saw the team fall apart, on seven minutes Dave Collins gave the ball away cheaply on the left which saw Soham fire the ball into the Ramblers penalty area for the helpless Marc Gorbell to deflect into his own net. The next thirty minutes saw Burnham Ramblers concede a further five goals through lack of concentration and application.

With the Ramblers losing 6 - 0 at half time the Soham crowd were calling for more goals and were looking forward to another onslaught in the second half.
Stuart Judd replaced Tunde Dixon at half time with Dave Collins dropping in at left back, through hard work and closing down higher up the pitch the Ramblers had much more of the ball and controlled large parts of the game and were unlucky not to score at least six goals themselves, as it happens a Collins corner on 55 minutes found the head of Stephen Ikumelo for the Ramblers first goal and twelve minutes later Stuart Judd was put through in the penalty area by Bradley Nobbs to fire home Burnham's second.

What a game of two halves but manager Bertie Brayley still has his work cut out to turn things around and needs to start picking up points and stop leaking soft goals.
