A crowd of 640 saw Bury Town come from behind to keep up their winning run and maintain their challenge for the league title against a strong and well organised Soham outfit.

The first chance fell to Bury on eight minutes when Kieran Leabon shot high and wide when through on goal. Bury were having more of the play but were unable to trouble keeper Jamie Chamberlain and Soham were dangerous on the break with a quick striking partnership causing the Bury defence some problems. Lee Reed forced a good save from Chamberlain and Leabon headed just wide. At the other end Hipwell was just off target with a header. The visitors took the lead on 35 minutes when Michael Simpson ran on to a through ball and crashed home an unstoppable shot past Garnham. Soham then had a period of control and the Bury defence was often at full stretch. It was Bury however who scored, when in the second minute of stoppage time Gavin Johnson was upended in the box and Ben Coker duly scored from the spot. Chamberlain then made good saves from a Sam Reed free kick and from a curling effort by Henderson, as it was Bury`s turn to dominate the play. The pressure paid off with ten minutues to go when a fine cross by Henderson was converted at the near post by Leabon to give Bury a very hard earned victory.
