Soham Elite 0 v Norwich City Youth 6 Youth Development Friendly - Monday 04/04/11 Soham, missing skipper Andy Potter due to illness and keeper Will Holmes, who failed a pre-match fitness test, produced a determined and hardworking team performance against a very strong Norwich City side in a very high standard game.

The visitors scored two early goals before the Greens got into the game with Kurtis Mpundu just failing to get on the end of two final passes before a slick move down the left saw Harry Horton shoot over when well placed, whilst Dale Lawrence was the architect of Rangers best attacking possession. City were 0-4 up at the break but had to wait until the hour before adding another due to sterling work from the Rangers back four and some excellent handling from keeper Kane Munday. Soham demonstrated growing mental strength on the back of a series of tough games and finished the game strongly despite a well-taken sixth goal from an excellent flowing move. Kane Munday looked assured in goal whilst fullbacks Yuki Shiroo and Luke Sterna had good games. Munday, Shiroo, Pettifor, Pitt, Sterna, Richards (Ellis), Akroyd (Cooper), Prewett, Lawrence (Maskell), Horton, Mpundu (Thomas)
